There are times when your files contain records but the invitations cannot be sent to some of the records in the file. Invitations are skipped for one of two reasons:
- The member opted out of receiving survey invitations.
- The member is on the "No Send" list
Opt-Outs
You are required to offer an opt-out/unsubscribe option on your email survey invitations. This allows members to indicate they do not want to receive additional survey invitations in the future. Satmetrix will track any members that opt out. This is tracked by the uniqueid for each member.
You can also see a list of these members by:
- Go to Admin
- Then Advanced Admin
- Then Do Not Send Addresses
- The Person ID column contains the uniqueid from your data file, plus "p_".
- Look in the Comment field in the list. Any records that have a comment of Email unsubscribed by user are members that opted out.
No Send
Your system has a No Send rule which prevents an individual member from getting more than one survey within a specific time frame (usually this is 90 days.)
If a member receives a survey invitation, they are added to your No Send list for that time period. Each time you post an invitation file for processing, the system scrubs out any records for members that are on this No Send list. These records are show as Skipped in your report site.
